About Me
Hey! My name is Basant and I love to tell stories through video.
I work as a freelance video editor and motion designer based in India. My love for Video Editing & Story Telling started long before I ever opened an editing software. Growing up, I loved watching movies like The Lord of the Rings, Dangal, and Forrest Gump. I was fascinated by the stories they told, but I never really thought about what went into making them.
That changed after I watched a podcast with Eric Roth. Even though he’s a screenwriter, listening to him for nearly an hour and a half never felt boring. It made me curious about what happens behind the camera—It made me curious about
how stories are written, filmed, edited, and brought to life. That curiosity eventually led me to discover
video editing, filmmaking, and the art of storytelling.
My Skills
Producing a engaging and impactful videos needs a combination of technical skills, creative decision making, careful attention of every frame.
My Vision
I learned from movies that stories can inspire, connect, and stay with people for years. My vision is to create work that does the same.
I’m committed to continuously learning, refining my skill, and pushing my creative limits. My goal is to edit videos which create meaningful visual experiences and eventually build a creative studio that produces work people genuinely remember.
My long-term vision is to build a creative studio where talented people collaborate to create films, commercials, and stories which inspire audiences worldwide.
